Thanks for the good review. I'll have to get this show. Love the 9:30 Club. But if you want to listen to it you got to read the help files link in the left nav. The lossless formats of SHN and FLAC need conversion tools to get to WAV. Some shows are available in VBR MP3, but it is lossy format.

Subject: HELP!?!?
This was my first JBT show and i have to say, it was the best show I've seen all summer. Ive been to about 50 bands this summer and they were by far the best. The applause after Ocean was just insane!! And that drum down was incredible...I cant seem to get the songs to play after downloaded though?? Media player says it cant recognize the format?? If anyone know a codec i need or some way to fix this PLEASE let me know??? I HAVE TO HAVE THIS ON TAPE!!! PLEASE HELP????????????? THANK YOU!

First time I saw them was at Bonnaroo 2005, and I was hooked. This gave me a chance to see these guys up close and I was not disapointed. Got there a little late, but they played for over 2 hours ( i think)
Simple light show but every one of their songs fell into place...great setlist. Favorite songs: Treat Yo Mama, What you want, Ocean (which i think got a 5 minute applause) and the Betterman was sick, lasting well over any version I've ever heard. Drummer did an insane job with using every inch of his kit. Only disappointment was the bass solo, which didn't have any flavor or umph to it, lacking some sound from the main soundboard in my opinion. I've gone to the 930 club many times, and this was one of the few shows where it wasnt loud enough !! Also, wasn;t really big on Peaches and Cream at first, but after seeing them, I realize how awesome of a song it is
Great audience, great in between song banter, great vocals, awesome guitar work (especially the finger work on Ocean, my first time hearing it, even amidst the few drunkards who don't know how to shut up)
10 stars on perfomance
4.5 on recording (not the greatest venue to record)
definitely worth a listen
tell a friend
more importantly
see them LIVE

Great live show! My first time hearing them live, I was blown away. Thanks for posting this. I was wondering if you taped the opening act as well? I'd love to have Tristan's set to complete the memory of a great night of live music.

First off, thank you thank you thank you Kilted Taper for recording this. worth your weight in audio equip.
great setlist (esp. ocean - how good was that?) and great recording.
i was in the middle-front during the show and listening to this recording, i could not believe all the people in the back that would not shut up. when will people learn NOT to talk around the tall, thin pole which looks like a mic is attached?
anyway...don't let that discourage you from DL'ing this show...great tunes...great recording...

Subject: Best live performance ever
Subject: Best live performance ever
This is only the second time I have had the privelige to see them live. (First was at Bonnaroo 05) However I have heard many of their live shows including the Max Sessions which were amazing.
This is IMHO his best performance ever. All of the usual solos were present, but noticeably different and most were much longer than usual. The crowd support was amazing with multiple standing ovations.
There were also two new songs (new to me anyway) played at the show; Danniella, and Testosterone (drum solo after Betterman)
